I want to share with you a gratitude project I’ve worked with for the past 4 years and it’s brought me a lot of peace, happiness, and gratitude for what is in my life, plus the ability to see many more blessings as they come in! It’s truly been a shift in my attitude that continues to help me day by day.

Here’s what I do:

Each morning or evening, I make a list of what I’m grateful for… but the list usually turns into a journal entry. I say what I’m grateful for, what I’m frustrated in and then what I’m grateful for in what I wrote about what I was frustrated in. Whatever I write that is negative, I turn it into a positive.

How do I do that?

I say, well, even though this may not seem to be going my way right now, or this happened, I see what this is teaching me. I am learning…….. right now.

I then write what I’m learning from the experience. It helps me to get out of the experience of it and all the emotions that come with that experience so that I can see it more objectively.

Sometimes I am able to see the bigger picture when I do this and that helps me have a focus, an intention to where I am in agreement with the end goal. And knowing that we are getting to the end goal, but first I have to go through this experience of frustration, I can be more grateful for it because I know that it will end and I will learn and grow in the middle of it.

I then relax and am able to just be more in the moment! Isn’t that what we all want? To be more in the moment and in the flow of life to enjoy it and be happy.

I challenge you to write what you’re grateful for today and everyday for the next 365 days of the year, and the year after that, and the year after that, and so on. At least commit to the next 7 days and see how you feel when you bring this into your life.
