Have you heard of Stephen King?

You know… the horror fiction writer.

In King’s book, On Writing, he explains his story about how he got into writing… and the events that led up to that.

His job was less than glorious and Tabitha worked at a fast food joint. You can read about it in his book if you’d like the full story.

This is what King says:

Talent in cheaper than table salt. What separates the talented individual from the successful one is a lot of hard work.

Okay, so we know that King has received plenty of praise for his ingenious work. And he’s saying that talent is not worth anything.

So, that leaves us with what?

Hard work…

…but you already do enough of that, don’t you?

Well, let’s ask the band, The Beatles, about that. How about it?
